Senior Engineer, Aveva Application

1 Overall Job Purpose

1.1 Responsible for the configuration, implementation and ongoing management of Project AVEVA Net and ISM instances. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in Project data capture, verification and handover.

2 Core Responsibilities

2.1 Be the Single Point Of Contact for all matters related to set up, maintenance, administration, system upgrade and troubleshooting of the AVEVA NET system deployed on all MODEC FPSO projects.

2.2 Coordinate with the engineering disciplines assigned to the project and work closely with project management, procurement, HSE, QA/QC, operations and construction team and meet or where possible to exceed on-time deliverables maintaining the quality and safety in each activity.

2.3 Establish and maintain the creation of Class Library and can define its structure and mapping techniques in ISM.

2.4 Develop efficient data capture, validation, loading and handover work processes to meet Client/Project schedule requirements

2.5 Establish new Project Portals which effectively reflect Client/Project Class Libraries, data structure and handover requirements

2.6 Ongoing Gateway configuration, maintenance and development of AVEVA NET portals.

2.7 Generation of Query Forms, SSRS and BI reports communicating data discrepancies, omissions, completion trending and status

2.8 Raise the profile of Information Management and a data-centric culture via effective Portal development and deployment

2.9 Shall be capable of developing Work Instructions for users of AVEVA NET.

2.10 Must understand company goals and implement management directives and policies.

2.11 Anticipate potential problems and take preventive actions.

2.12 Reports to Group Lead of Engineering and Design System in Engineering Management department and Systems Lead when assigned to a project role.

2.13 Support Product Manager in planning and delivering AVEVA NET solutions on projects.

2.15 Interface with all disciplines to clarify/explain AVEVA NET intent and suggest alternatives when the need arises.

2.16 Contribute to continuous improvement of company work methodology/procedures.

2.17 Conclude all open issues amicably.

4.1 The incumbent is expected to work independently and be accountable for his/her work.

5 Work Relationships

5.1 No direct reports

5.2 Reports to the Project Information Manager for all project related work

5.3 Works closely with AVEVA Engineering and other AVEVA Tools administrators and super users for smooth execution and delivery of AVEVA NET solutions on projects.

5.4 works with the AVEVA support center to assist in fault diagnosis and deployment of fixes in support of implementation work

6 Job Challenges and Problem Solving

6.2 To be able to deal efficiently, professionally and tactfully with numerous stakeholders who may have different focuses and priorities, both internal and external is a challenge.

6.3 It is also challenging to keep up with the changes (processes, designs and standards) in various engineering disciplines.

6.4 It is often challenging to gather all the information and documents promptly given the large number of parties involved.
