**About the Department**:
Legal Attorney and Advisory is responsible for providing legal advice to the firm and ensuring the firm operates in accordance with legal parameters. Specialists provide support across the scope of the firm's activities ensuring that legal issues, contracts, disputes, and complex transactions are conducted within the due diligence of the legal framework. The Attorney area is responsible for providing legal advice to the firm, and for ensuring the firm operates in accordance with various legal parameters. The Product / Business Unit Lawyer focus specializes in providing legal advice and strategic expertise to one of the business lines of the firm (e.g., Capital Markets, Investment Management, Commercial or Corporate Banking, etc.) on product development, transactions, and cross-border and domestic issues. May represent the Firm with clients, external agencies, and regulatory bodies; direct internal legal activities, and coordinate work conducted by External Legal Counsel

**Responsibilities**:
A role to provide legal support principally for Global Markets and Investment Management. Responsibilities include:

- Providing legal support and advice across multiple asset classes such as foreign exchange, commodities, interest rates and equities
- Providing legal support in the drafting and clearance of structured notes and structured deposits
- Reviewing and negotiating third party broker agreements and ancillary documents
- Working with Compliance to identity legal and regulatory risk and implementing viable and effective solutions
- Provide legal support to UOB Asset Management, UOB Venture Management and UOB Global Capital

**Job Requirements**:

- Law degree from a recognized university
- Minimum 3 years PQE in legal practice and/or related in-house role in the financial industry
- Prior experience in exchange traded and over-the counter derivatives eg, ISDA, CSA, GMRA, GMSLA & exchange documents would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and also a team player
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
- Good stakeholder/counterpart management skills required
- On the job training will be provided
