**Who we’re looking for**

**Our client**

Our client, with a strong presence across Asia, started its operations in Taipei in 1949 and expanded to Osaka in 1952 and Tokyo in 1953, establishing its first overseas office in Hong Kong in 1957. The Singapore office was opened in 1970, followed by the Beijing office in 1991, reflecting their forward-looking approach. Over the past 50 years, they have developed extensive expertise in Intellectual Property, building a global presence through collaborative efforts within their network.

**Location**

The role will be based in our client’s Singapore office.

**What you’ll do**
- Conduct online searches at various Intellectual Property offices.
- Draft, review, and revise various legal documents including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
- Organize and maintain case files, including docketing deadlines and billing.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports on cases to clients.
- Follow up on payments and instructions from clients.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court appearances.
- Provide administrative support to lawyers and attend to other ad-hoc duties as required.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and company policies.

**The knowledge, experience and qualifications you’ll need**
- Diploma or degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

**What will be good to have**
- Familiarity with local laws and regulations in Singapore.
- Ability to communicate in Malay and Chinese languages to serve their clients who are more comfortable in these languages during their interactions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Qualifications in legal studies would be advantageous.
