Senior Manager, Packaging Category

**Reporting to Sr. Director Enterprise Packaging category, the position of Packaging Category regional lead (Consumer Health Business) is pivotal to make a strong contribution towards the overall Strategic Sourcing objectives for APAC Cand global packaging category. This is a regional category leadership anchor position responsible for Packaging and Fibre & Non-woven (FNW) delivery across the procurement metrics. This position sits within the global category structure and is part of SC Procurement leadership team in APAC and Enterprise Packaging category.**

The APAC Packaging Anchor position is an individual contributor role to be based in Singapore and has comprehensive goals and objectives across financial stewardship, Operational Excellence, Supplier Enabled Innovation, People leadership and Risk, Reputation & Citizenship.

The incumbent in this role will be responsible to deliver below expectations (through category team)
- Financial Delivery: Be accountable for delivering financial commitments on category target; identify cost improvement programs, price negotiation and sourcing change, etc. to continuously achieve spend productivity in close collaboration with category team members
- Sourcing Strategy: Lead and guide team during sourcing strategy development for packaging materials. Lead/ support cross-functional team to deep dive business needs, conduct industry analysis/benchmarking, identify gaps and unmet needs, then develop / Support (As per applicable) Regional Sourcing Strategy in conjunction with global strategy leads; be responsible for sourcing strategy implementation.
- Commodity Risk Management (CRM): Keep track of category external/macro situation; analyse potential cost impact; lead the negotiations with suppliers to ensure commodity movements are captured in material pricing along with currency fluctuation, etc.
- Reshape Supplier base: Influence right supplier network for packaging category and Lead/support critical supplier relationship management to continuously meet J&J business needs.
- Build Business Continuity Planning (BCP): Take leadership to develop BCP for packaging materials. Collaborate with cross functions to execute BCP flawlessly; develop action plans to track BCP implementation and so results.
- Support New Product Introduction/Development (NPI/NPD): Collaborate with internal stakeholders for new materials development with other key functions to support NPI/NPDs. Identify capable/competitive suppliers together with alternative options to meet new product needs and cost objectives.
- Contract management: Ensure contractual compliance for packaging spend, Facilitate the establishment of optimum supply agreements, and ensure that they are aligned with category strategy to ensure business continuity through the agreements.
- Coaching and mentoring of category team members (#9) to develop strong future leaders

**Qualifications**
- University degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Science; Master’s Degree / MBA from top notch university is preferable
- 10-15 years relevant work experience in international environment
- Seasoned leadership in managing diverse stakeholders and drive teams direct and indirect leadership scope
- Strong collaborative leadership and influencing skills
- Experienced leader in developing talent
- Proven procurement capabilities through past experience
- Quick adaptability to changes and new environment
- Ability to create value and deliver significant results
