Assistant Education Manager

**STRATEGY PLANNING & TRAINING**
- Develop and adapt education materials to address to the needs of business environment and customers.
- Lead and coach educators to implement training programs and strategies.
- Follow up and evaluate effectiveness of training programs and activities, provide recommendations to markets.
- Design and execute the planned retail & education curriculum, digital learning APP, grooming guidelines for retail team to optimize productivity to achieve the overall sell-through objectives.
- Assist educators to plan training calendar and budget to meet the overall business, sales and marketing objectives.
- Work with educators to improve field team’s brand & product knowledge, make-up skills and selling techniques.
- Plan and deliver trainings according to market needs - Singapore Local Market and TR specific trainings.
- Maintain a keen understanding of competitors training trends and best practices.
- Plan for forecast training gifts and testers with educators.

**PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT**
- Collaborate with educators & retail team to identify and develop talents to advocate and implement “The Makeup Artist Journey”.
- Provide regular Train-the-Trainer workshops to educators and retail team.
- Train and provide certification for regional educators and field team on in-house development programs.
- Map out regional educators’ development with HQ education team, arrange workshops to elevate skills.
- Motivate and engage filed team via organizing key events e.g., expert seminar, BA dinner, contests.

**RETAIL EXCELLENCE**
- Design service flow adapted to different market needs.
- Incorporate relevant processes and guidelines into specific training programs to ensure best service quality and grooming that is in line with the desired brand image.
- Monitor expert grooming standard and implement seasonal makeup looks and attire to promote newness.
- Actively participate in the launch animation planning with marketing and retail team.
- Gather customer & field team’s product feedback and relay to marketing for review.
- Work with Marketing & Retail functions to formulate responses and follow up on customer complaints.
- Support HPPs, makeup shows, livestreams, in-store events, or other events sponsored by brand.

**COLLABORATION & BRIDGING THE MARKETS**
- To be the face of Education in respective markets & establish good relationship with all the education departments of all TR and market partners.
- Maintain a good relationship with other markets’ education team, seek opportunities for cross-over projects and exchange best practices.
- Collaborate with HQ on specific projects implementation and adaptation to TR APAC & SEAO markets.

**MANAGING RETAIL OPERATION FOR SEPHORA SG**

Lead and manage Retail Operation Executive, SG to:

- Ensure smooth running of store operations - sufficient stocks & testers, merchandising, beauty events, instore activities, and customer loyalty development.
- Check regularly on merchandising and gondola maintenance and feedback to the Marketing/VM team
- Support the selling effort.
- Conduct demo/talks/workshops for consumers during key launch activities
- Monthly submission of competitors’ launches, promo mechanics, animation spaces to Marketing
- Provide Sephora floor layout when regional VM team requires such.
- Commission and duty roster for MUEs in selected Sephora stores.

**Job Specification**
- Minimum 8 years management experience in makeup artistry, training, or retail sales in cosmetics industry.
- Possessed solid makeup skills or graduated from a well-known makeup school is a plus.
- Willing to travel frequently (40%).
- Strong beauty retail experience and business sense in Travel Retail or SEA Local Market environment.
- Strong leadership with strategic mindset; enthusiastic about retail, education, coaching & developing people.
- A team player with excellent communication, inter-personal and intercultural skills.
- Passionate and creative about make-up, artistry, and trends.
- Ability to develop and deliver client centric and interactive training to engage target audience.
