Roles & Responsibilities

The Product Owner will be part of an exciting and dynamic team focusing on driving General Insurance product vision from ideation to execution, and supporting the entire product lifecycle, working closely with the Business stakeholders and Scrum team.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Be accountable and own the end-to-end Product lifecycle from ideation to planning, execution, and launch to develop innovative solutions and improve the selling and buying insurance services.
- Collaborate with business department, technology, and other teams, to develop the product strategy and roadmap for local and multi country market needs.
- Discover new growth areas, product improvements, or operation strategies to enhance the customer experiences through a data-driven approach.
- Work closely with Business and scrum team to define product requirements (epics & user stories), create functional / technical specifications, process maps, and acceptance criteria, and lead the scrum team to execute the user stories.
- Lead and work directly with scrum team to establish a strong delivery cadence (backlog grooming, facilitating sprint ceremonies, and provide day-to-day guidance to support them build solutions to deliver the features in agreed timeline).
- Able to define current and future state scenarios such as processes, models, use cases, and work with business users as well as designers to ensure business requirement is addressed in the design.
- Conduct design thinking and discovery framing sessions to identify pain points faced by customers and shape solutions that drives maximum synergies, deliver most business values.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Diploma / Degree holder in Information Technology, Info Systems or equivalent.
- At least 7 to 8 years’ experience working in the insurance market - must have sound knowledge of ins-and-outs of the General insurance lifecycle.
- 5+ years product management experience, including full ownership of a product roadmap and vision.
- A background in digital / technology-focused roles in the General Insurance or Financial services.
- Must have experience in scrum or agile project management methods.
- Bring a collaborative and commercial mindset, should be able to work cross functionally and collaboratively across the teams.
- Ability to operate under tight deadlines while maintaining multiple projects
- Experience and familiarity with platforms: Data analytic tool, Jira, Google analytics and MS OfficeSuite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
