Hitachi Energy Grid Integration support customers in creating stronger, smarter and greener grids adapted to meet the needs of the changing power landscape. Our system solutions are designed and delivered to provide the highest lifecycle value with the lowest risk. You as a Regional Tendering Manager - Asia, will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in the Singapore. Adapt and implement sales support strategy for designated area in accordance with the global support strategy. Ensure technical and commercial support for internal and external customers. Oversee estimations and bids and proposals ensuring alignment with Hitachi Energy standards and targets. Proactively lead, develop and coach the Sales Support team. Support the Sales organization and customers by leading the tendering team and Tender Competence Center (TCC) throughout the proposal process, including preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, risk review preparation and serving as a key technical and commercial resource in the assigned area. This role will lead a 10-12 team members and reporting into to Senior Vice President & Regional MD of Grid Integration business unit.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversees the implementation of Global Tender Management Instructions and ensure compliance in local Operating Units (OUs) and in Tender Competence Center (TCC).
- Support and implement the Capture Team Strategy and Local Sales Strategy in order to maximize the orders.
- Targets: Defines key targets for improvement of tender quality and efficiency to achieve customer support.
- Proposal development : Oversees the preparation of proposals through internal and external resources. Ensures all proposals follow relevant Hitachi Energy procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements.
- Competitiveness conditions. Identifies the right business models and implement appropriate approach (e.g., Subcontract, Consortium, NSPP or channel) can be applied to better serve the customer.
- Terms and conditions: Oversee the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, legal, taxation, pricing) in each offer.
- Resource allocation: Ensures each tender allocated with necessary internal and external resources for technical and commercial support for proposal preparation.
- Risk Management: Supports in opportunity screening processes to arrive at decisions such as Go/No Go and Bid/No Bid. Participates in project risk review process and supports the team to complete the actions defined in risk review meetings and to obtain internal approvals prior to submission of bid to customers.
- Customer: Ensures support to the Sales organizations during the technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations with customers and provide technical support and clarification as needed.
- Lead the tendering team to support the local and Hub Sales organization in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers. Ensure adequate competence and capacity of technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offers product/ solution/service-related training.
- Lead the tendering team to ensure full compliance of the tendering and risk review process in accordance to LOM process. Provide regular training to sale and tendering team.
- Ensure local risk review compliant, support HBU/BU/Company risk review to ensure quality of in-formation and risk review process in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy. Fully alignment with BU and Company risk management for Risk Review mandate/triggers.
- Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization.
- Performs lost proposal analysis, identifies potential cause, and recommends future actions in People leadership and development.
- Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross collaboration.

- Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and related fields plus at least 15 + yrs. experience.
