**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job responsibilities**
- Improve operational stability and availability through participation in problem management
- Monitor production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
- Assist in the escalation and communication of issues and solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
- Assist with Continual service improvement (toil reduction/ automation), Hygiene
**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience
- Ability to quickly receive and process information, make appropriate risk based decisions.
- Exposure to observability and monitoring tools and techniques such as Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, Geneos, Cloud watch, OpenSearch (experience setting up the monitoring will be added advantage)
- Familiarity with processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- Experience in scripting including Powershell/Shell and/or Python for automation & toil reduction
**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Knowledge of one or more general purpose programming languages or automation scripting
- Cloud certification
