**Your role**
- Do you have an interest in understanding the financial impact of market and global events? Are you at ease in using data analytics to understand trends, anticipate issues and recommend risk mitigating strategies?
- We are looking for a self-motivated risk professional with a can-do attitude to:
- keep abreast of market events to identify risks to our GWM loan book and collateral pool and make risk mitigation recommendations to senior management
- assess risks and recommend appropriate lending values / initial margins for different types of securities and derivatives
- support our senior risk managers in managing the market and liquidity risks of our credit portfolio
- work closely with our GWM client advisors, product specialists, credit officers, and other stakeholders to advise them on the bank’s Lombard lending value methodologies, and risk appetite framework
- support the continuous optimization of our governance framework reflecting best-in-class efficiency, quality, controls and risk transparency for our processes, frameworks and models
- prepare presentations to senior management and regulators
- support new business and collateral evaluation initiatives

**Your team**
- You will be joining the CRO GWM’s Risk Portfolio Management and Strategy (“RPMS”) team, an independent control function responsible for managing the credit book of the largest wealth manager in the world.
- Amongst other responsibilities, the RPMS (Credit Portfolio Management and Collateral Evaluation) team is responsible for defining the risk appetite strategy, enabling new business initiatives and managing the credit risk of our Global Wealth Management’s lending portfolio including assessing lending values and risk profiles of our growing loan book.

**Your expertise**
- a degree in finance, mathematics, economics, physics, computer science, engineering or related field
- a good understanding of financial markets and investment products such as equities, bonds, mutual funds, structured products and hedge funds
- good proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and some familiarity with programming (e.g. SAS, SQL, VBA, R) will be an advantage
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - effective, precise and succinct
- strong communicator who can effectively reach out to stakeholders of various seniority levels and understanding of complex topics
