**Position Purpose**:
Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Emerging Markets gives you the opportunity to oversee and expand the Group’s presence & brands in the Emerging Markets of Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Myanmar and Brunei, which will generate revenues and build sustainable growth. This means overseeing channel development, and partnership, identifying and exploring new market opportunities, reaching out to new clients, directing the Group’s sales and managing marketing efforts to lead a consistent trajectory of growth.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop, propose and implement Group commercial strategies according to Company goals, building relevant budgets aimed at accelerating growth;
- Build strong partnerships with local retailers & business development with brand principals;
- Develop distribution strategies to get regional brands out into the marketplace as effectively as possible; and
- Deliver performance of each emerging market using key metrics to identify issues and opportunities.
**Requirements**:
- Minimally a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar disciplines; postgraduate degrees in relevant disciplines are preferred
- At least 5 years’ of experience in managing teams, excelling in sales, operations, and participating in business development initiatives
- Proven experience as commercial director or other relevant role
- Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
- In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
- Well-versed in the latest corporate management standards and comfortable in using modern software tools (especially the Microsoft Office Suite) and popular social media
- Highly proficient in verbal and written communication skills in English, and a second language will be advantageous.
