**Position Summary**
- Responsible for performing plant operation activities in the Steam Plant in a safe, efficient and timely manner in accordance with operational guidelines and statutory limits, to meet output requirements, including carrying chemical cleaning, dosing activities and first level maintenance as required.

**Functional Responsibilities**

**Operation Works **85 %
- Perform Steam Plant unit start-up/shutdown and loading activities on the generating unit in accordance with real time dispatch schedule
- Maintain compliance to regulatory requirement, environmental compliance and safety compliance
- Perform plant status monitoring duties via DCS and promptly highlight any irregularities or non-conformance promptly
- Promptly investigate and report all plant defects, deficiencies and abnormalities
- Carry out plant mechanical isolation, including LOTO, in relation to PTW/PTR and subsequent de-isolation and testing of equipment prior to resuming service
- Carry out plant inspection, functional tests, equipment changeover and attend to plant abnormalities in accordance with approved operation procedures and schedules
- Perform emergency operations so as to safeguard integrity of the plant and subsequently the speedy and orderly restoration of supply
- Perform first line maintenance work promptly
- Perform logistic work for all operation activities
- Maintain a safe and orderly work area by practicing organized housekeeping
- Record, review and compile operations records, test results, and process readings
- Perform operation of Electro-chlorination Plant
- Carry our Water analyzer resin regeneration and top-up/replacement to ensure analyzer house in operation
- Manage chemical delivery and loading including inventory control and monitoring
- Execute chemical dosing and topping up of chemical tanks and perform trouble shooting for chemical dosing process issues
- Maintain and update chemical consumption inventory databases
- Ensure appropriate licenses & permits for chemicals are available and updated
- Assist in the procurement of chemicals and management of the chemical contract

**Technical Reporting **5%
- Preparation of weekly and monthly production reports.
- Preparation of daily production log
- Preparation and highlight defects within the plant
- Preparation of regulatory compliance reports as required

**HSE **5%
- Compliance with Safety Rules and Procedures
- Support ERP/SOP update and participate in emergency drills and audits

**Others **5%
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors

Contract length: 12 months
