Job Description

As a member of the Business Development, this individual will be a partner with the CBO, and lead all aspects of business development, corporate partnerships, strategic alliance management, and corporate development, while contributing to the company's overall business and corporate strategy.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Drive the organisation's business development initiatives across the biotechnology segments globally.
Screen potential business cooperation by analysing market strategies, requirements, potential, evaluating options and resolve internal priorities.
Attract joint venture, co-development, collaborative research, strategic corporate investment, equity financing, and non-dilutive financing from biotechnology companies, foundations, and government agencies.
Network and build good relationship with industry partners and possible investors.
Managing internal, governmental, and corporate stakeholder relations includes sourcing for new contacts and curating a shared network of active and potential relationships.
Identify opportunities to raise the company's profile with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:
5 to 10 years' experience working in the big pharmaceutical industry, VC, PE or relevant biotech start-up environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development in pharma sector, with emphasis on Out-Licensing
Strong scientific education in biology or biochemistry prefer.
Ability to translate scientific product knowledge using a consultative sale approach.
Knowledge of analysis and calculation of investment returns and proficient in MS Office.
Able to speak English and Mandarin to liaise with customers from China.
