**Job Responsibilities**:
As the Global Marketing Planning and Operations Director, you are responsible for the smooth functioning and consistent optimization of the marketing function and excels in operations that facilitate scalability, predictability, and efficiency of marketing operations. You will be driving digital transformation, consistent working practices, strengthening cross-functional relationships, and designing the strategy for operations across the Marketing organization. You will be responsible for the marketing processes, tools, and a well-defined matrix of measurement to drive growth and ensure compliance.
Marketing operations are key to the success of the overall Sales and Marketing plan. This is a new role and will play an important part in developing a marketing planning strategy and lead the marketing planning process and deliverables. The Global Marketing Planner will ensure the execution of the marketing plan and budget alignment across the BU’s, region, and global marketing. This is an independent contributor role. You will be reporting to the Vice President, Global Marketing.
- Work to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing through people, process, technology, and data - so that marketing can achieve strategic goals, enabling digital transformation, adopting business accountability by driving revenue and growth, leading customer centricity
- Coordinates with budget owners to ensure quarterly budget to actual accuracy, governing the overall budget among budget owners
- Establishes KPIs and tracks metrics against KPIs for execution of Corporate Strategy, Market Plans, Marketing Plans, and business cases including allocation of spend across campaigns.
- Regularly informs stakeholders across marketing, sales, and finance of insights on marketing performance to ensure cross functional alignment on the best possible data-driven marketing strategy
- Define the matrix of measurement across Marketing’s function. Develop measurements, monitor and analysis for continuous improvement
- Lead the Marketing’s budget management and expense control and in charge of all reporting
- Champions the “One Marketing Team” principle, facilitating marketing business reviews, as appropriate
- Continuous evaluation of Marketing process and tools - Effectively influence, align, and collaborate with key functions to establish Marketing Process
- Investigate data quality and drive continuous improvement and identify the need for data enrichment/cleansing
- Feeds analytical results into a Dashboard, partnering with Data and Analytics teams across the organization to ensure marketing can correctly report on various customer acquisition and lifetime value metrics across the marketing tactics
- Manages the Events Calendar working with Marketing to ensure this is kept up to date and consistent
- Managing vendors and contractors to fill short-term resourcing and skill gaps while maintaining focus on quality outcomes
- Measuring and reporting on key operational indicators, including financial, people and resource utilization, making recommendations and providing input into medium-long term strategic decisions
- Conducting strategic workforce planning for a marketing team, to assess baseline capability, identify capability gaps and develop a plan to mitigate gaps through recruitment and upskilling existing talent
**Pre-Requisites**:
- 12+ years in Marketing Operations, Strategic Planning, Marketing. Experience at a technology company is preferred.
- Ability to champion multiple marketing functions and coordinate business reviews
- Able to strategize plan depth, breadth, and alignment
- Strong understanding of marketing practices and KPI’s
- A hands-on individual, highly capable of operating and excelling at the strategic and tactical positions
- Resourceful and a problem-solver, who is comfortable with new technologies and concepts
- Strong in Excel, PowerPoint skills, project management experience, problem solving skills, analytical/critical thinking skills, and system mapping process documentation
- Experience in digital transformation, program management, stakeholder engagement, and executive presentations.
