The role provides an opportunity to learn and contribute to development-related functions and will be beneficial for someone who has an interest in philanthropy and aspires to build a career in development work.
**The responsibilities of this role are**:
- Work closely with fundraisers, gift administrators and the Provost’s Office on gift acceptance process for gifts designated for university-wide purposes.
- Work with gift administrators supporting the Provost’s Office to ensure that gifts are used correctly and promptly.
- Work on gift stewardship matters, primarily in the areas of gift utilisation, gift reporting and appreciation letters, for university-wide gifts.
- Review and develop policies, processes and work on best practices related to gift matters related to Provost’s Office.
- Ensure that gifts are accepted in accordance with University statutes, policies and guidelines.
- Facilitate the approvals of gift recording documents and naming recognition at the University.
- An interest in philanthropy work.
- Proactive and meticulous.
- Process-driven with strong critical thinking skills.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while being a good team player.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Experience in higher education or in philanthropy will be a plus.
