Singapore TEXTILE SOLUTIONS LLP Full time

The main responsibilities of an Engineering Textile Specialist are to support the operations department in designing, characterisation and producing engineering têxtile preforms as well as composite parts fabrication.
- To understand different types of engineering material yarns, their specifications and sizing

a) Warping and weaving of 2D engineering fabrics

b) Braiding of 2D/Tri-axial engineering sleeves

c) Embroidery of Fibre Optics sensor, conductive yarns onto engineering fabrics

d) Design of têxtile sensors
- To generate work processes and job travellers.
- To support with engineering test coupon fabrications for mechanical properties database build-up
- To support with testing, static test, drop test, mechanical testing of test specimens. To help collate the test data and prepare summary report
- To support/lead composite fabrication of engineering prototypes using technical têxtiles
- To research, design and develop têxtile sensors in the areas of pressure, temperature, force, motion etc
