Infra Technology Specialist

Salary: $3000-$6000 (based on experience)
Time: 8.30am - 6pm, Mon - Fri
Location: Near to Macpherson MRT (500m walking distance to office)

**Responsibilities**:
1. **System Design and Architecture**:

- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements.
- Develop comprehensive infrastructure solutions, including network, storage, and compute resources.
- Create detailed design documents and architecture diagrams to guide implementation.

2. **Implementation and Deployment**:

- Deploy and configure hardware and software components based on the design specifications.
- Install and configure servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
- Ensure that installations are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.

3. **System Administration and Maintenance**:

- Perform regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement corrective measures.
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and ensure data integrity.

4. **Network Management**:

- Design and implement secure and efficient network infrastructures.
- Manage network configurations, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Troubleshoot network issues and ensure mínimal downtime.

5. **Security Management**:

- Implement and manage security measures to protect client systems from threats.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.

6. **Client Support and Collaboration**:

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients.
- Collaborate with client IT teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of systems.
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation to support client IT staff.

7. **Project Management**:

- Manage infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Maintain project documentation and report on progress to stakeholders.

8. **Continuous Improvement and Innovation**:

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Identify opportunities for improving existing systems and processes.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance client IT infrastructure.

**Requirements**:

- At least 3 - 5 years experience in IT infrastructure roles, preferably in a system integrator environment.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructure projects.

**Technical Skills**:

- **Network Administration**: Experience with configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls.
- **Server Management**: Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux servers.
- **Virtualization**: Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies.
- **Cloud Computing**: Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and deployments.
- **Storage Solutions**: Familiarity with SAN, NAS, and other storage solutions.
- **Security Practices**: Understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and security protocols.
- **Scripting and Automation**: Skills in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation tasks

**Professional Certifications (is a plus)**:

- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) for networking expertise.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert** for cloud infrastructure.
- CompTIA Network and CompTIA Security for foundational networking and security skills.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) for virtualization skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect for Amazon Web Services (AWS) expertise.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) for security expertise.
