Senior Logistics and Business Development Manager

Our client is an international freight and shipping company. They are currently looking for a senior operations and business development manager to join their expanding team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Handle high level queries and operational orders locally, as well as trade business for Overseas Offices, Clients and Agents.
- Handle high level shipping quotes and maintain freight rate management.
- Negotiate rate levels with agents, carriers, airlines, and transport companies.
- Ensure shipping processes are being adhered to and a high level of service is maintained.
- Ensure systems (e.g. CargoWise) are kept up to date throughout the process.
- Quoting and Invoicing of shipments as well as QC of these activities.
- Agent relationship building and upkeep.
- New client sales, relationship building and management.
- Understand and build trade lanes between our international offices (SE Asia to Europe, Africa, USA etc)
- Statistical understanding and reporting of volumes and trade lanes.
- Business development strategies and analysis to stay ahead in today's market as well as new growth avenues.
- Mentor new team members.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 8 years of logistics experience
- Knowledge of imports, exports, general logistics, warehousing, customs, rate understanding
- Knowledge of seafreight and airfreight, consolidations and negotiations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and report pulling (graphs/tables)
- CargoWise (good to have)
