**Job Scope**

The Business Development Engineer is responsible for generating leads, advancing the sales process, closing new business and achieving/assisting in the achievement of opportunity based sales quotas.

This individual will also actively participate in the planning and execution of company marketing activities providing vital input based on his/her interactions with prospects.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short and long-term business development plans.
- Plan customer visits within the region to determine specific product demand, identify and develop sales opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers.
- Establish strong customer relationship by providing accurate and timely information to customers regarding inquiries such as products, pricing, quotes and issues/concerns.
- Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; updating (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information.
- Assessing customer challenges and determining their needs.
- Conduct and provide accurate forecast and sales pipeline plans for planning.
- Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.

**Prerequisites (must have)**
- Must be willing to travel overseas for work.
- Polytechnic diploma in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Ability to work independently while meeting quotas and objectives.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well independently and in teams.

**Preferred (nice to haves)**
- 1-2 years of sales experience in drive technology or similar trade in Taiwan, Philippines or Pakistan.
- Familiarity and experience using SAP and/or other CRM platforms.
