**Purpose of this role**:
The role will determine the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products from start-up, building the product line, through satisfactory production. This includes analyzing engineering design documents to establish manufacturing methods and processes to manufacture a component, creating conceptual sketches and initiating the design and building of required tooling.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

- Provide both on site and off site technical support to the production of AB SCIEX range of products (Mass Spectrometer and High Performance Liquid Chromatography systems).
- Perform process optimization, qualification or/and validation.
- Use of DFA and pFMEA principles to reduce manufacturing cycle time and improve product quality.
- Lead cost and FPY/internal dppm improvement projects. Provide value engineering in re-engineering of the process or material to reduce cost and improve quality. Review, approve and implement Engineering Changes Requests with no impact to instrument delivery.
- Ensure compliance of operations within area of concern with all relevant EHS regulatory requirement and SCIEX safety policies, procedures and guidelines
- Other duties/ ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

- Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in defining or supporting the assembly of complex electro-mechanical assemblies or scientific instruments.
- Experience with instrument assembly procedures at the sub-assembly and instrument level will be an asset.
- Experience in lean manufacturing layout, cycle time and Takt time requirements.
- Familiar with ISO drawing standard is a plus. A hands-on approach to understanding assembly issues or productivity concerns.
