Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

- Understand best practice in PCB design, possess good knowledge in PCBA manufacturing processes, understand well on high voltage soldering requirements as well as creepage and clearance requirements.
- Possess good understanding in IPC A-610, IPC-7711/7721 (Reworks of PCBAs), etc.
- Hands on experience in using measuring equipment like digital multimeter, oscilloscope, function generators, High Voltage insulation tester, HIPOT tester, Ground Bond Tester etc. for troubleshooting activities.
- Work with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) and suppliers to lead the no detected fault (NDF) modules investigation and classify the root causes into supplier process, SCIEX process, materials and design categories. Plan and execute the corrective actions and ensure sustainment.
- Develop the commissioning and final tests to automate (eliminate/minimize human intervention) the instrument tests within efficient cycle time duration.
- Ensure the test coverage meets system requirements.
- Continuously improve the final test process, by revising the Final test procedures to mitigate all the quality issues.
- Take corrective actions for performance problems reported by Final Test Specialists and internal customers.
- Provides training and certification to Final Test Specialist.
- Provide root cause analysis for failure on E3 escalation instruments and any other parts that are returned from the Field to the Manufacturing.
- Improve the First Pass Yield in Manufacturing by performing failure analysis and providing engineering solutions to address the root causes.
- Support improvement in field quality, by taking inputs from Sales and Service Teams on the installation and warranty failures. Introduce corrective actions in Manufacturing to address those field issues.
- Provide support to close CAPAs assigned to the team.
- Work with other Engineering departments, Quality Assurance (QA), Product Development and R&D to implement corrective actions or engineering changes on existing products. Test the performance of existing products with engineering changes or upgrades to verify the performance and update test procedures if required.
- Assist instrument installation in the field through site visit/remote access if required.
- For non-conformance disposition (NCMR)
- perform investigation and root cause analysis for Electronics components.
- Engineering Change Order (ECO) approval - review to ensure meets expectations.
- ECO implementation - communication to the production.
- Ownership to support the Value Stream to achieve the set goals and objectives.
- Determine Field-Replaceable Units (FRU) test requirements.
- First Article Evaluation of Electrical/Electronic parts and software.
- Ensure compliance of operations within area of concern with all relevant EHS regulatory requirement and SCIEX safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Other duties/ ad hoc tasks as assigned.

**The essential requirements of the job include**:_ _**
- Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing process or in instrumentation production company (IPC).
- Having good knowledge in system (hardware & software) architecture will be an added advantage.
