Research Assistant/ Research Fellow

A Research Fellow/ Research Assistant position is currently available in the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute.
Key Responsibilities:
- Membrane processes modelling and optimization for chemical- Design and operate fluidized bed crystallizers for resource recovery from wastewater sludge- Develop, design, and optimize NF/RO processes from laboratory to pilot scale for a chemical company- Support lab experimentation such as nanofiltration/reverse osmosis filtration, nanofiltration membrane bioreactor process- Process optimization to validate the developed models- Perform water analysis with advanced analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC etc- Perform membrane fouling characterization and membrane autopsy- Prepare research paper, progress report and presentations- Supports the development of resource recovery methodology from wastewater sludge
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree (for Research Assistant) or PhD degree (for Research Fellow) from a reputable university in chemical/environmental engineering- Relevant research experience in membrane process design and optimization- Experience in fluidized bed design and operation- Relevant research/hands-on experience in membrane experiments- Experience with Phyton/Matlab- Oral presentation skill and multitasking skill- Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team- Good interpersonal skills- Good communication and writing in English is essential for data analysis- Strong responsibility for research
