**Objectives of the position**:
Innovation and Advanced Technology department members have rich experience in technology and engineering in various industries, and should be able to find and develop optimal or more innovative ideas that meet customer conditions. Through such innovative thinking, R&D departments in each Asia should be stimulated and laboratories optimized.

The internal role is Head of Innovation and Advanced Technology APAC. Please note that we have stated “Research and Development (R&D) Director“ under “Occupation“ as it is the closest role to “Head of Innovation and Advanced Technology APAC“.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. For IFF and Advanced Technology, he/she need to discover valuable technology and engineering driven ideas with region that go beyond the capabilities of Stage-Gate® process.

2. Procurement, dimensioning and release of local test equipment after comparison with global specifications.

3. Elaboration of the Vision/Mission of the APAC Laboratories with CTO APAC and BIT-AT.

4. Identification and evaluation of tech trend.

5. Creation of regional network and collaboration with internal/external expert.

6. Responsibility for the development of a regional technology advisory board in APAC.

7. Conducting patent researches with Lapp Engineering and BIT-AT.

8. Elaborate potential for publicly funded projects.

9. Establishment of an IC portfolio strategy for APAC and Development of IC Center of Excellence.

**Skills & Qualification**:

- More than 10 years of working experience in cable/component development or any development as head of R&D Dept.
- Engineering major (ex. electrics, electronics, mechanics, robotics, chemical.. etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Words and Excel, Excellent Presentation skill as a presenter / trainer.
- Good written and communication skills with overseas colleagues.
- Those who have no problems with overseas business trips in various countries.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing/ harnessing environment is an added advantage.
- Data analysis(using BI tools, and six sigma.. etc.) and software coding(C++, java, V-Basic macro.. ) is an added advantage.
- Experienced in SAP Module & Cable builder is an added advantage.
- Experienced in leading multiple projects is an added advantage.
- Passionate and positive mindset is an added advantage.
