As a recognized authority and leading contributor, this Consulting Practice Manager, provides consistent innovative and high-quality solution leadership. Responsible for guiding a successful team in implementation of ad-hoc and complex business solutions ensuring high quality and timely delivery to the customer's satisfaction.
Analyses business needs to help ensure Oracle's solution meets the customer's objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge. Effectively applies Oracle's methodologies and policies while adhering to contractual obligations, thereby minimizing Oracle's risk and exposure. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques for effective project delivery on small to medium engagements. Provides direction and mentoring to project team.
Effectively influences decisions at the management level of customer organizations. Ensures deliverables are acceptable and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations.
Supports business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the offshore development team by providing client experience. Manages the service delivery projects. Has 15+ years of experience relevant to this position.
Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. Strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and third-party vendors engaged in the project.
The main objectives of this role are to:
- Develop and maintain long term valued relationships with clients
- Successfully understand and manage expectations throughout the implementation process
- Ensure the delivery of high quality and appropriate solutions
- Assure project delivery to approved financial targets (project margin responsibility)
- Ensure adherence to operational policies and methodology
- Managed project resource, budget and finances
**Required Skillset**
- Experience of liquidity, regulatory, statement and external earmarking and sanction approval flow and business practice
- Proven and sound knowledge of Oracle Database, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, D2K, Java, JS, JMS, XML, WebLogic, basic Unix and Emerging technologies
- Strong functional and technical Knowledge of FLEXCUBE (including form-based legacy version 4.x)
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills from complex technical architecture
- Expertise in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
- Proven Communication, Presentation skills interacting with Director level seniors in client facing role
- Proven ability to lead a distributed team of very senior Consultants
- Accredited or Certified in Project management
**Scope**
- Reports to Consulting Practice Director for general performance and project delivery responsibilities in managed services project
- Reports to the client senior level for customer’s project, in the context of the managed services project objectives and deliverables
- Runs and manages a team of very senior Consultants from Oracle and partners with third parties and customer as and when required, frequently geographically dispersed (including offshore resources)
- Provides coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members
- Provides one point contact for all customer escalations related technical and functional queries assigned to managed services team
**Responsibilities**
- Managing Implementation team with a distributed team from client site
- Defining the scope, expectations and approach for solution for customer’s ask; then establishing and maintaining stakeholder commitment to this approach
- Providing leadership, motivation and direction for the Project Team
- Directly managing the performance of the Consultants on the project
- Controlling resource utilisation and project expenditure
- Commissioning, and responding to requests for, appropriate levels of project health-check, quality audit and external technical review; ensuring all resulting actions are effectively undertaken
- Producing regular and accurate progress reports for the Client's management and Oracle Directors
- Escalating issues to the right level of management in Oracle and the client organization, as appropriate
- Seeking opportunities to develop new Oracle business with the client, based on a deep understanding of the client's business; identifying and communicating to Sales Management such opportunities.
- Ensuring clients are satisfied with the delivered project
- Communicating within Oracle the lessons learnt on any project
- Communicating with Resourcing current activity and ensuring availability and accountabilities
- Regularly update the client on progress against Plan and ensure solutions are delivered on time
