**Job Description**:
The specific focus of this role will be on AI Hardware and be responsible for contributing to Omdia’s Advanced Compute Intelligence Service, in which key areas of focus include AI-optimized compute, networking and storage hardware, and next generation microprocessor architectures and more. Among the areas of expertise likely needed to be a success in this role are:

- Deep technical knowledge of understanding of underlying technologies that are driving key hardware trends in the AI market;
- Established familiarity with the semiconductor industry and knowledge of key suppliers in APAC and globally;
- Extensive knowledge on key segments and a broad socio-economic understanding of how the changing world landscape may impact the AI hardware market going forward.

Responsibilities of this role will include:

- Thought leadership - produce written insights and press materials to support research outputs, look for opportunities to comment on industry news, deliver insights and recommendations.
- Writing - providing qualitative analysis to support and justify data with a focus on change and development; discuss the impact of technology and key market trends.
- Primary research - conducting interviews with key industry contacts; attending shows; F2F visits to support relationship development with leading industry figures; using interviews to offer opinion and insight on market developments.
- Secondary research - using a range of secondary sources to support primary research including the internet, trade journals, in-house research, trade associations, public reports, financial releases, company press releases.
- Forecasting - using primary and secondary research to generate market projections; using credible sources to support forecasts; logging all assumptions and working in a clear way; creating the story around market development/opportunities/risks.
- Developing base data - working with other team members to expand credible base data and ensure the quality of our research output.
- Sales and event support - partner with the sales team to generate new leads, progress existing leads, and support renewals; use scoping to continually evolve the research offering. Partner with events team to further Omdia’s position in the AI, analytics and data management space

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- In depth understanding of research methods and the ability to provide high-quality and influential research content.
- Experience in and rich market knowledge of the AI industry.
- Communication skills and ability to work effectively across groups.
- Highly developed research skills; 7-10 years of experience with market research and data analysis methodologies (or directly relatable).
- Established network of senior industry players.
- Track record as an influential leader within the industry. Comparative knowledge of major technology and service providers in the above quoted research areas.
