The Head of HR AsiaPacific (APAC) serves as the HR Business Partner and Coach for the HR Teams of other countries in APAC in all relevant people strategy and HR management issues.
In this role, the Head of HR APAC Lead the HR team across APAC driving operational efficiency and enhancing business partnership. The role also ensures the HR team are providing the best HR strategies and services to attract, develop, motivate and retain the best people for today and tomorrow and be operationally efficient and effective.
- Manage and guide the delivery of high-performance HR services across countries (especially Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea
- and the region may expand or shrink as per the business plans) through dedicated HR country heads and drive Talent management & development for APAC.
- Provide strategic leadership, business partnership and HR guidance to the local teams & Head of APAC
- Plan, design and ensure the execution of HR services in alignment with the Ipsen global strategy and Ipsen policies
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of effective human resource processes (for example: performance management, compensation, talent campaigns) and policies in accordance with local legislative requirements and corporate guidelines
- Lead and execute Talent Management for APAC region
- Lead cultural transformation (assessment, streamlining and change management) to foster speak-up culture, remove bureaucracy and maintain agility
- Effectively manage all labour/employment relations topics in full compliance with the local legislations
- Support the relevant projects and partner closely with GMs whilst fostering strong partnership with Head of APAC
- Manage the HR team in the countries
**Key Responsibilities**:
HR Strategy & Business Partnership:
- Accountable for the execution of the Global HR Strategy and employee experience across APAC by delivering meaningful moments that matter
- Coach and partner with APAC Head to support the transformation within the region
- Support Org Design, organisational effectiveness including workforce planning, people KPI monitoring etc
- Implement the Strategic Capability Planning project for HR and other operational efficiency projects across the region.
Employee Relations
- Accountable for Actions that legally expose us/employee in the countries: build processes necessary to ensure all employment relations matters are effectively and where possible proactively managed. Partners with local managers & external legal services as required in the performance management process and provides coaching, consultation and facilitation in employee relations.
- Guide the team, directly & proactively manage works council/union topics in the cluster
Talent Management:
- Is responsible for and leads Talent management agenda from shaping, developing and promoting overall Talent strategy including global programs to ensure a seamless and consistent implementation that is fit for purpose for all countries in the region.
COE Collaborations:
- Work closely with the Compensation & Benefits CoE team to input, shape, develop and promote overall compensation & benefit programs and ensure seamless and consistent implementation that is fit for purpose.
- Ensure smooth processes for recruitment in close cooperation with Talent Acquisition CoE. Lead the recruitment in partnership with the talent acquisition partner for the critical Senior Management team roles in APAC and in coordination with the Divisional/Functions VP HR (BHR)
HR Processes:
- Accountable to ensure the team takes responsibility for and executes all core annual HR processes including: annual salary review, promotions/salary adjustments, talent review and succession planning,, performance reviews, etc. for APAC are implemented with excellence and consistency.
