Based in Singapore, the team supports Sephora’s omni-channel retail businesses across Southeast Asia, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
To succeed as the regional Marketing Analytics Manager, you must possess the unique combination of a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership and people skills, and a solid understanding of beauty consumers. You will be customer-focused with a commercial lens; able to proactively identify business challenges and conceptualize how to use advanced analytical techniques to solve them. You will be hands-on and extremely technically-savvy with data and able to communicate complex ideas clearly to a range of stakeholders from junior marketers to upper management.
**In this role we expect you to**:
- Lead and supervise a small team of analysts who manipulate large, complex datasets - ensuring their growth as they progress through their career
- Take end to end ownership of key analytics projects: identifying the suitable approach to tackle a business problem, hands-on execution of the data analysis, and effectively communicating insights to relevant stakeholders
- Recommend, build and monitor fit-for-purpose advanced analytics models for omni-channel use (e.g. segmentations, predictive models)
- Conduct customer research and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, either in collaboration with external partners or internally through the CRM database
- Track and analyse performance of customer-led KPIs, market share, and marketing campaigns
- Answer ad-hoc business questions to influence customer-centered marketing strategies
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional business partners locally and regionally
**We would love to hear from you if you have**:
- At least 7 years of experience in a data-manipulating analytics role
- Experience managing a team
- Strong academic credentials, preferably with a degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or Data Science
- SQL and relational database proficiency, with experience in data visualization tools (DOMO, Qlik, Tableau, etc)
- Hands-on knowledge of statistical modeling techniques e.g. regression, classification, etc; and tool(s) e.g. R (preferred), Python, SAS
- Strong commercial understanding, preferably with retail and e-commerce experience
- Ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity for stakeholders at all levels
- Working knowledge of digital marketing technologies highly desirable
- A passion for beauty & for retail is an advantage - and if you don’t have it, you will have a track record of developing expertise and passion in new areas
