[What the role is]

You will be part of the team at Audio Visual Archives (AVA) to ensure the proper management, presentation, preservation of the national audiovisual collection.

[What you will be working on]
- Plan and Manage record preparation support for digitisation/digital preservation of audiovisual (AV) records by retrieval, filing and transfer of AV records; facilitating technical inspection; and improving and updating metadata of AV records in archival management system.
- Plan and Manage the stocktake and inventorisation of AV records including monitoring the environment of repositories.
- Management of metadata and documentation in department’s database; lead/co-lead database feature enhancements, improvements and revamp projects; and represent AVA in metadata improvement initiatives helmed by other departments and divisions.
- Management of vendors, temporary staff and volunteers supporting digitisation and documentation projects through task assignment, monitoring deliverables, training, and performance review.
- Management of procurement purchases to support department functions.
- Provide corporate administration support through preparation of reports, asset officer duties.

[What we are looking for]
- At least 1-3 years of working experience, and experience in digital collection/digital records management/digitisation is preferred.
- Organised and possesses the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to handle large volume of data with strong data processing skills.
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision, as well as in a team.
- Good speaking and writing communication skills.
- Good supervisory and people management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
