**What the role is**
- The Anti-Money Laundering / Countering the Financing of Terrorism Division's portfolio relates to the development and implementation of the Anti-Money Laundering / Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regulatory regime for precious stones and precious metals dealers (PSMDs).
**What you will be working on**
- The Executive (EI) will be responsible for enforcing the requirements of the AML/CFT regulatory regime for precious stones and precious metals dealers (PSMDs). This includes ascertaining and investigating against potential regulatory breaches and offences, determining the appropriate enforcement action against errant dealers, and executing the enforcement action (e.g. prosecution, regulatory action). He/she will report to the Assistant Director / Enforcement and Investigations (AD/EI), and work as part of an enforcement team.
**What we are looking for**
- Possess at least a Diploma in any discipline
- Prior experience in enforcement and investigations, especially as an Investigation Officer, is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and effectively with mínimal supervision
- Meticulous, with an eye for detail
- Keen interest in uncovering the truth
- Willing to work using IT case management system
- Prepared to perform outdoor fieldwork
- Proficiency in investigative techniques such as field collection of evidence, interviewing of case suspects, recording of statements from persons of interests in order to obtain oral evidence, and putting up of investigation papers (IPs) with the view of prosecuting offenders in court
