**About Personalisation Team**:
Join our Personalisation team and be at the forefront of crafting user experiences that resonate deeply. As the engineering manager of this team, you will steer the development of sophisticated ML ranking and recommendation systems, critical for tailoring experiences that maximise value for our vast customer base. The team will tackle intriguing challenges: How to recommend the perfect item at the perfect time? How to prioritize the content users crave? Your leadership will be instrumental in making our recommendation systems even more efficient, accurate, and scalable.
**About the Role**:
As an Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in realizing our ambitious product and technical vision. Leveraging your technical acumen and hands-on expertise, you'll spearhead high-impact initiatives such as enhancing platform scalability, refining the configurability of our business rules, and supporting the development of more intricate rule structures. These efforts empower our customers to create campaigns that align seamlessly with evolving business needs. Additionally, you'll be tasked with fortifying key non-functional requirements such as performance, reliability, and data security.
**Responsibilities**:
- Innovate and Lead: Direct and grow a team of exceptional engineers, delivering end-to-end solutions that enhance personalization and user engagement.
- Collaborate and Define: Engage with stakeholders across Product, Design, and Business domains to envision and implement the roadmap for revolutionary personalization technologies.
- Inspire and Scale: Encourage innovation, employ cutting-edge technologies, and foster a culture of excellence. Scale the team through strategic hiring and by developing internal talents.
- Exceed Standards: Utilize your technical expertise to uphold the highest engineering standards, ensuring our solutions are scalable, reliable, and impactful.
**What we're looking for**:
- Strong technical background, demonstrated through prior experience in analogous roles such as Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or Staff-level engineering positions.
- Experience crafting technical roadmaps and driving technical strategy.
- Ability to guide and grow engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
