Position Overview
The Director of Catering & Conference Services is the assistant department head to lead the entire department to achieve the department sales goal, to achieve all the set KPIs. She supports the Senior Director of Catering Sales & Conference Services and her team whenever is required.

The Role
A. Develop Sales Strategies

Lead review of client segmentation to strengthen client portfolios
Track actual revenue for the Catering and Conference Services Team

B. Manage Client Relationships

Handling customer contracts for large events, VIP, owners' event
Run events, prepare BEO for VIP events
Lead service recovery for retention of guests and/or customers and future business
Review measures to enhance guest and/or customer retention and loyalty

C.Manage Sales Activities to Achieve Sales

Planning menus alongside the chefs
Meeting with suppliers and VIP guests

D.Manage human resources, finance and report management

Supervise and support Conference Services Team
Assist Wedding Team whenever is required

E. Create sales opportunities

Formulate criteria for sales leads generation
Lead participation in relevant industry events, trade exhibitions and sales trips for networking and lead generation
Have good knowledge of Capella Singapore including the brand, the unique selling point of the hotel, event space, menus, pricing.

Talent Profile

Diploma in Hospitality Management
Minimum 10 year working experience in Catering & Conference Services for an upscale property.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office including words, excel, power point
Understanding of room space, entertainment options, menus, floral options
Able to lead and train new team members
