Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of relevant contracting experience
- 3+years’ experience in drafting key contract terms for statement of works, contract amendments and work orders in technology, licensing, and service contracts or a broad range of standard commercial contracts.
- Work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional global team
- Ability to communicate effectively across all functions and levels of the organization

Business and Product Operations (BPO) is a diverse team that supports infrastructure and other foundational initiatives that span and support Sales (AWS Professional Services), Marketing and Support teams within AWS.

Because of increasing volume and business demands we are looking to hire a Senior Contract Specialist to support AWS Professional Services, for both public and commercial sectors, and AWS Legal by drafting Statements of Work (SOW), Work Orders (WO) and Work Order Amendments (WOA) and supporting AWS Professional Services in the APAC region during the contract creation and drafting process. We’re looking for a motivated self-starter who’s passionate about contracts, has solid stakeholder management, contract drafting and policy compliance skills, and can manage the operational processes by analyzing trends and recommending and implementing process improvements.

You will also need to engage and build trust with a broad range of senior stakeholders and business partners and act as a trusted advisor to consult with stakeholders on contracting matters.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the contracting process, creating documentation, gathering approvals, tracking status and communication between key stakeholders.
- Lead the contract drafting process, identifying risks, providing guidance to ensure policy compliance.
- Engage and build meaningful relationships with global BPO Team, senior stakeholders and business partners in the APAC region
- Drafting key commercial contract terms within an AWS SOW, WO and WOA.
- Communicate daily with cross functional teams including Sales, Legal, Operations and Management
- Proactively identify and implement operational improvements and enhancements that meet business requirements
- Be a part of ICON projects for continuous improvement

A day in the life
- Lead contract drafting of SOWs, WOs and WOAs
- Act as trusted advisor to customer on operational, contract and policies for the E2E contract work-flow.
- Liaise daily with Deal Desk, Sales Enablement, Business Process Managers and AWS Legal to ensure SOWs meet project deliverables, contract and legal requirements
- Connect and collaborate with the APJ ICON team (and broader global ICON team) to identify and simplify policy and process improvements

About the team
The ICON team provides contract support services to the AWS Professional Service team (Sales) for both public and private sector. Following the sun we have teams located in AMER (Seattle), EMEA (Dublin) and APJ (Sydney and Japan). We are excited to create a footprint in Singapore so that we can provide seamless support services and champion local and global initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.
- Experience in drafting Cloud, technology and professional service agreements
