One Animation is looking for a Visual Effects Artist to come on board our animation

juggernaut. Visual effects artists are responsible for creating appealing motion-graphics,

computer-generated animations and special effects within the assigned budget. VFX artist

require a mix of technical, creative skills, and interpersonal skills. You should be able to use

different VFX techniques to help fulfill the need of the project. These can be realistic or

stylized, depending on the type of effect requested and how it’s used. The effects can be

created under the 2d and 3d software or the combination of both.

The focus and majority of time will be spent creating, implementing and optimizing the

visual effects tasks. In addition to this, you should own troubleshooting skills to rectify any

issues with the tasks. You will work collaboratively with the Directors and Departments

Leads

**Responsibilities**:

- To work with Lead VFX Artist to design and create various effects for different projects.
- Design and create FX animation, procedural simulation, dynamic simulations, particle and fluid systems.
- Help conceptualize then animate 2D styled 'motion graphics' and 'visual effects' that work within the style of our CG shows.
- Assist in setting up or maintaining a library of effects presets which can be loaded and applied to multiple shots.
- Showcasing high quality effects reel and high resolution effect textures.
- Demonstrate a healthy appetite for current related media: TV series, Films, Graphic Novels as well as showing a proactive attitude at exploring and researching new techniques, tools and methods to improve work-flow.
- Optimizing visual effects for performance while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Communicating project time-lines and obtaining feedback from directors. Ensuring the projects time-lines and requirements are met.

**Skills/Requirements**:

- 1 to 3 years' experience in animation industry.
- Familiarity with VFX creation software like Houdini, Blender, Adobe Adobe Effects or equivalent.
- Familiarity with basic CG techniques and animation work-flow.
- Strong communication skills are a must - especially in a culturally diverse studio such as ours. It's important to be concise and clear as miscommunication can easily occur.
- Organized, particularly with asset management. (including naming systems)
- Ability to work in a fast
- paced environment and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and rapid turnaround time.
- Demonstrate a proactive work ethic, able to multitask, priorities and manage your time efficiently, with the ability to stay calm under tight deadlines.
