**Job Summary**:
As an Audit Associate, you will be an integral part of our audit team, assisting in the planning and execution of audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. You will work closely with senior auditors and managers to ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and other relevant regulations. **Responsibilities**:

- **Assist in Audit Planning**: Participate in the planning phase of audit engagements, including understanding client operations, identifying risks, and developing audit programs.
- **Perform Audit Procedures**: Execute audit fieldwork in accordance with the audit plan, including testing internal controls, verifying financial data, and gathering audit evidence through techniques such as documentation review, observation, and client inquiries.
- **Prepare Working Papers**: Document audit procedures performed, findings, and evidence obtained in a clear, concise, and organized manner, ensuring compliance with firm standards.
- **Financial Statement Review**: Assist in the review of financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SFRS and relevant statutory requirements, including the Singapore Companies Act.
- **Identify and Report Issues**: Recognize potential audit issues, discrepancies, or internal control weaknesses and communicate these findings to senior team members.
- **Client Interaction**: Interact professionally with clients to obtain necessary information, clarify audit findings, and build positive working relationships.
- **Compliance**: Ensure all audit work is performed in compliance with the firm's methodologies, professional standards (including Singapore Standards on Auditing - SSA), and ethical requirements.
- **Contribute to Team Success**: Collaborate effectively with team members, share knowledge, and support the overall success of audit engagements.
- **Professional Development**: Continuously develop your technical knowledge and stay updated on changes in accounting standards, auditing regulations, and industry best practices.
- **Ad-hoc Tasks**: Perform other audit-related duties as assigned by senior team members.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong academic record.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (SFRS) and auditing concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 1
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

**Preferred Skills (Advantageous but not mandatory)**:

- Prior internship or work experience in a public accounting firm.
- Familiarity with group consolidation and cash flow statement preparation.
- Knowledge of relevant Singaporean laws and regulations impacting financial reporting.
