DESIGNATION : Assistant Manager, Digital Assets (5-mth contract), OCCM

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is for Office of Corporate Communications and Marketing (OCCM).

The Digital Assets Manager will work as a team member of the Department under Corporate Marketing and Brand team. He/she will manage the digital assets owned by SMU, on the brand portal and outside of the portal. This includes everything from curating and maintaining digital assets to ensuring that all digital content is properly named, organised, tagged, and indexed.

Key duties and responsibilities:

- Create administrative, technical and descriptive metadata in accordance with SMU taxonomy matrix and aligned with best practices
- Comb through all digital assets to ensure all assets are tagged and named correctly
- Promote digital assets sharing in SMU Brand community
- Develop and implement internal policies, criteria and process for curation of digital assets
- Curate and upload assets submitted for the brand portal
- Understand user needs and recommend improvements to existing digital library services or development of new services
- Assist to check and update information on Brand Portal
- Develop user guide for the use of digital library

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design or a good Business or Social Science degree
- Familiarity with digital asset management and taxonomy structure
- At least 3 - 5 years’ work experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in the tools and systems related to digital collections creation and asset management
- Knowledge of current archival practices and standards regarding digital asset management, workflow and the development and maintenance of digital collections
- Knowledge of Frontify, Bynder or comparable brand management platform preferred
- Proficiency with image and video editing software e.g. Adobe Photoshop preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Meticulous with a keen eye for details
- Proficient in MS office and online office collaborative tools
