**Job Description & Requirements**:

- Experience administering a SAS environment in a single or multi-tier environment. More generally formulated: Knowledge about SAS architecture and SAS servers
- Experience in administering SAS clients
- Experience with one or more DBMS (SAS/ACCESS engines)
- Experience working with Linux and Windows OS environment.
- Experience with authentication, including alternative authentication providers such as Active Directory as well as authorization in a Metadata Server environment
- Experience starting and stopping SAS servers
- Hands-on experience with SAS Management Console
- Experience creating metadata, such as users and groups, libraries and SAS folders
- Ability to make changes to the SAS environment such as modifying configuration files and writing automation scripts
- Understanding the backup strategies with SAS
- Experienced in troubleshooting a SAS environment, such as reading through SAS logs, working with SAS Technical Support
- Experience with migrating and updating a SAS environment, such as migrating between SAS versions, installing and upgrading license files and maintenance releases, hot fix installs, updating SSL certificates
- Dedicated SAS admin role in recent years
- SAS admin is responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of various SAS products
- Additional tasks may include user and operational support and troubleshooting of SAS and the underlying operating systems
- Experience in security (Access Control Matrix)
- Subject matter expert for all SAS related technical issues and best practices

Nice to have:

- SAS Viya deployment and Administration
- Dockers, Kubernetes deployment experience.
- OS and Network Background.
