Lead the EHS programs for Singapore site, developing, implementing and maintaining programs and processes to enable a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible work environment, compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures, minimize EHS related risk, and drive continuous improvement.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- As Site EHS Lead, partner with Regional EHS Lead and site leaders to identify EHS risk, develop and implement policies and procedures and monitor effectiveness.
- Provide technical expertise, training and guidance to ensure compliance with applicable state/country regulatory and industry standards.
- Collaborates with site leaders to establish local EHS Sustainability programs
- Lead all aspects of EHS training.
- Oversee critical EHS programs including, but not limited to Chemical Hygiene and Safety, Radiation Safety, Hazardous Waste, Industrial Hygiene, Office Safety, Laboratory Safety, Fire Safety, Hazardous Energy Control, Confined Space Work, Personal Protective Equipment, Risk and Hazard Identification and Prevention, and Emergency Planning and Response lead EHS Committee and Team activities, such as department safety teams, emergency response team, etc.
- Interacts with EHS regulatory agencies
- Prepares and submits regulatory and internal company reports as required, including air permit and wastewater records, emission and hazardous waste reports, injury/illness and other EHS reports.
- Leads accident investigation program, collaborating with supervisors to identify root causes and successful implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
- Evaluates purchases and facility modifications to ensure compliance with standards.
- Interacts with government agencies.
- Communicates effectively with site management and employees.
- Perform other related duties as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Technical Field and Minimum of 5 years EHS experience preferably working in a laboratory or research & development environment.
- Must possess education and/or training requirements and years of experience to be appointed Biological Safety Officer or Chemical Hygiene Officer.
- Professional certification in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Area preferred.
- Demonstrated familiarity with EHS hazard and risk identification, evaluation and control concepts.
- Knowledge of core EHS regulations.
- Ability to perform moderate to complex level presentations, training programs, work practice documents and spreadsheet tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with significant presentation experience.
