The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are listed as, but not limited to the following:

- To supervise on all staff involve in the set-up performs their job carefully
- To take charge of the casual staff booking for set and serve upon event requirement
- To conduct training and departmental orientation to the newly hired casual staff
- Assist and ensure the set - up of the function room is according to the requirements as outlined by the Banquet Manager
- Ensure that all pre requisitions for the functions are counter checked correct and ready for the setting-up when the time arrives
- Co-ordinate with the Chef and to have a clear understanding of the menu served for the day so as to avoid confusion, error or disruption of service procedures
- Respond to guest complaints or demands immediately with tact and sincerity. Keep the Banquet Manager informed of guests incidents during or after the function
- Conduct roll call of the function to the server before the function begins, highlighting special pointers where necessary
- Conduct routine check within the function area before each function and ensure all mise-en-place are done correctly and well
- Check and control the timing of meal courses during function.
- Report and update the inventory of any losses and breakages which are discovered after the function
- Have good knowledge of F& B pick up charts and be able to answer any queries from the guest and staff
- To assist in developing and maintaining the highest standard of quality relating to F & B services,presentation for all meetings and functions
- To walk through and check the front and back of the house area in order to maintain the high level of cleaniness and tideness
- To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management.
