You will be tasked with business development with a focus on industry engagement, and be responsible for building relationships and creating awareness among organisations with regard to the benefits of participating in the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP) and hiring SIT students, and to bring in relevant opportunities for SIT.

You will also work closely with the Career Coaches to support student-industry activities to strengthen the work-readiness of SIT students.

**Key Responsibilities**

Business Development
- Develop an industry engagement plan to promote and increase awareness of SIT and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP) in the industry, and to highlight the benefits of engaging students for IWSP and graduates for full-time employment to meet talent needs
- Research, review and identify industry’s talent and manpower needs, with a view to create new business opportunities with industry across different sectors for IWSP and graduate full-time employment for all SIT degree programmes
- Actively reach out to the industry to promote SIT’s and IWSP’s unique selling proposition, so as to create new partnerships and to secure opportunities
- Attend industry functions and events to establish new business contacts for business opportunities
- Strengthen marketing and communication channels for effective engagement with the industry

Industry Relations Management
- Develop strategies for effective management of industry relationships; formulate plans to help foster, nurture and strengthen relationships between industry partners and SIT
- Develop and manage processes to support the strategies and plans
- Maintain and strengthen industry engagement activities with industry partners through events, networking, and regular communication to seek opportunities for partnerships and implementation of IWSP as well as graduate full-time opportunities.
- Function as the primary contact for external engagements and industry partners; drive coordinated external engagement programmes and activities across different industry sectors.
- Manage and host visits to SIT by external parties, visitors and guests
- Keep current on industry trends, skillset requirements and labour market information through engagements with industry partners; provide periodic updates to Career Coaches on relevant information

Others
- Support Career Coaches in student engagement activities to share industry insights
- Work together with Career Coaches and other team members of the Centre for Career Readiness to support career-related activities
- Any other assigned tasks by the Director of the Centre for Career Readiness.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree, and at least 8-10 years of relevant work experience in business development, sales and marketing
- Passionate about creating opportunities to help students secure the right jobs for their needs and aspirations, and to be ready for the future workforce
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence, as well as the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships and networks both internally and externally
- Self-initiated, strategic-thinking, analytical and resourceful
- Result-orientated with an ability to develop, demonstrate and deliver outcomes for industry engagement and student work attachments
- Collaborative team player, able to multi-task and work in a diverse and dynamic team environment.
- Understanding of both the PET and CET space
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- IT savvy and proficient in the use of various computer software and tools.
