Apac - Senior Finance Analyst

Overview:
As a key member of an evolving Asia Pacific Finance team, this role will provide financial and strategic support for the region, liaising with respective counterparts in USHQ for all the corporate requirements on Finance operation and related business support.

The position of Senior Financial Analyst will contribute to productivity improvements and will fully utilize technology and tools to drive process efficiency and effectiveness, with the focus on the management & controllership of Balance Sheet items such as AR/DSO, Inventory/Demo, and Capital investments for the whole APAC region.

**Responsibilities**:
1) Financial Accounting / Planning / Analysis, focusing on Balance Sheet items
- Primary focus on the key Balance Sheet items, such as AR/DSO, Inventory/Demo, and Capital Investment, for the following key activities for the whole APAC region
- Completing month/quarter-end closing activities, working closely with local finance teams
- Consolidation of financial results for the region, including submission of financial package & reporting/analysis on Asia Pacific consolidated financial positions on the key Balance Sheet items, according to reporting calendar for Corporation and USHQ Division
- Actively participate in periodical forecasting review process & annual operation planning (AOP) exercise, as well as in strategic planning and operational management on the key Balance Sheet items.
- Preparation and distribution of other periodical and ad-hoc performance reporting & analysis

2) Specialized support on regional Accounting/Finance process and controllership
- Continual productivity improvements in accounting/finance processes and related support for the whole businesses in APAC region.
- Review and maintain an effective internal control system and liaise with external and internal auditors on design and improvement of internal controls/procedures as well as compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- To support the APAC Controller with any taxation related challenges (including any regional cross charge & Singapore EDB related matters) for each country in the whole APAC region

Qualifications:

- Degree in Accounting / Finance or professional qualification
- Minimum 5-10 years’ relevant experience in REGIONAL Finance & Accounting roles, preferably in US MNC
- Strong working knowledge of general accounting & financial planning w solid analytical skills
- System savvy, knowledge of SAP will be a must, along with advanced Excel/Word/ PowerPoint skills ability to embrace technology as an enabler
- Good interpersonal and communications skills, at all levels
- Self-starter with strong teaming skills and ability to develop relationships with key members across the organization
- High level of motivation and ability to think “outside of the box”
- Performance driven, able to manage projects & deadlines
- Resourceful, demonstrates initiative & results-oriented
- Familiar with MNC matrix reporting structure
- Experience with SOX & US GAAP is an added advantage
- Ability to work with highly confidential information
- Proficiency in English language with any other Asian language will be considered a plus.
- Ad hoc regional travel.
