Singapore Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) Full time

**What the role is**

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel /Legal Counsel to join HTX’s Legal Division. The successful applicant will provide professional legal advice and strategic guidance to the various Divisions in HTX, draft and review contracts and other legal documents, as well as work with the rest of HTX’s Legal team to raise staff awareness on relevant legal issues.

**What you will be working on**

The job-holder will be responsible for the following:

- Draft and review contracts and other legal documents, as well as advise HTX on legal issues relating to relevant procurements and matters relating to contracts which HTX manages and administers.
- Render professional legal advice and strategic guidance to the various Divisions in HTX on all matters with a legal dimension (including issues related to intellectual property owned, produced or used by HTX officers, and the management thereof).
- Manage/supervise, advise on and conduct negotiations (where necessary) on actual or potential disputes involving or handled by HTX.
- Create content for and conduct talks and seminars to HTX staff to raise awareness on relevant legal issues.
- Assist the Director of the Legal Division to carry out and implement such responsibilities and priorities of HTX’s Legal Division as may be assigned to him/her.

**What we are looking for**
- A LLB (Hons) degree and be eligible to be called to the Singapore Bar
- At least 10 years’ of relevant legal work experience (handling advisory and/or contract drafting & review matters) for Senior Legal Counsel)/3 years’ relevant legal work experience for Legal Counsel
- Prior litigation experience/experience dealing with contractual disputes will be a plus
- Prior experience in handling intellectual property issues will be a plus
The job-holder should possess strong legal and analytical skills, be able to work independently, have good communication skills and be able to work well with colleagues from diverse backgrounds (including scientists and engineers).
