Agile Release Train Engineer

**ABOUT YOU**
- Over 10 years' professional experience (top tier consultancy experience preferred)
- Over 5 years’ operating in a Release Train Engineer role or similar
- Over 5 years’ experience working with a cloud transformation organisation
- Preferable industry experience includes FSI, Telco and logistics
- Demonstratable architecture knowledge across Applications, Data and Technology (especially CICD technologies)
- Proficient in both design and delivery of scaled Agile programmes
- Proven experience operating strategically and tactically, engaging successfully with both C-Suite and operational staff
- Understand the value of Agile and able to articulate the benefits of an Agile operational model
- Ability to articulate what the Agile artifacts are and how they are created and leveraged by Agile teams
- Bachelor’s Degree (IT or engineering) or equivalent
- Recent and relevant Agile certifications (preferably 'SAFe RTE)
- Fluency in English
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train and Solution Train
- Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Releases
- Facilitate Release Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre
- and Post-release Planning events
- Facilitate the Release planning event
- Summarize Team Objectives into Program Objectives (the RTE) and publish them for visibility and transparency
- Facilitate periodic synchronization events, including the ART sync at the Essential Level and the delivery sprints at the programme level
- Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Alumni Agile practices and mindsets
- Help manage risks and dependencies
- Escalate and track impediments
- Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering
- Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
- Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
- Work with the Leadership Chapter on program execution and operational excellence
- Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them improve

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proven skills in training and able to upskill others in a remote setting
- Experience working in an Agile delivery role, including scaled Agile, and able to advise what good Agile delivery and governance looks like.
- Fluent in English, with other languages being an added benefit
