**Position: IP Compliance and Revenue Coordinator**

**Salary: $5000**

**Location: Kent Ridge**

**Working Days: 5days, 9AM - 6.00PM (Mon - Fri)**

1-year contract able to convert to permanent staff, depending on the performance

Job Responsibilities
- Reviewing terms in intellectual property (IP)-related agreements (e.g. licensing agreements, inter-institutional joint IP management agreements, and technology development agreements) to determine required compliance follow-up actions
- Liaising with licensee companies on reporting obligations, collection of licensing fees, and reimbursement of patent costs
- Monitoring and following up with licensee companies on overdue invoices and implementing installment payment plans as necessary to assist licensee companies to clear overdue invoices
- Liaising with the finance department for the timely invoicing of external parties for payments under IP-related agreements and other finance-related matters such as the monthly debtors’ aging report, making provisions for doubtful debts and writing-off of bad debts
- Managing the distribution of licensing revenue to IP joint owners, collaborators/sponsors
- Working with technology managers on the follow-up with licensee companies on non-financial obligations / performance milestones in IP-related agreements
- Analysing and interpreting statistical results and providing reports to various stakeholders on commercialization revenues received and distributed and patent costs recovery
- Ensuring proper documentation and prompt and accurate data entry for patent invoices, invoices for licensing fees and patent cost reimbursement, and distributions of licensing revenue, into the Sophia Knowledge Management System for the tracking and reporting of licensing revenue and expenses

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience in (technology) licensing/compliance practice, as well as the ability to appreciate and interpret agreement terms
- Working experience in Accounts Receivable/Collections
- Good working knowledge of Sophia Knowledge Management System or other IP and contracts databases will be advantageous
- Good working knowledge of the patent prosecution process and/or intellectual property licensing
