Singapore Chen Su Lan Methodist Children's Home Full time

The laundry attendant is responsible for cleaning the clothing & bedding of all the residents and for the cleanliness & maintenance of the laundry equipment and areas.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1) Washing the children’s clothes, school uniforms, towels and bed sheets

a. Collect dirty clothes, school uniforms and towels from the dormitories in the morning. Wash, dry and iron (except for the youths (Sec 1 and above) who have to iron their own clothing) and return the clothes back to the respective dormitories at the end of the afternoon (Daily).

b. Collect dirty bedding for cleaning. Wash, dry and iron and then return to the respective dormitories at the end of the afternoon (Weekly).

2) Basic cleaning and maintenance duties in the laundry areas and for the washing equipment to ensure their proper working and durability

a. Washing & drying machines should be wiped and cleaned after use (Daily)

b. Ensure that the laundry rooms are kept clean and tidy

c. Alert Facilities Executive in case of machine malfunction

3) Take on any other duties assigned by the supervisor

- Knowledge of operating laundry equipment

- Physically fit and able to carry heavy items

- Has experience working as a laundry staff

- Can work independently, has a pleasant disposition and able to maintain good working relationships with other departments’ staff
- Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to children

**Working hours**

Weekdays and Saturdays
- 9am - 5pm
- Lunch time: 12pm - 1 pm

Total no. of hours a day: 7 hours
