Equity Derivative Sales

**_Department Description _**

**MISSIONS**

This role consists of the following responsibilities, but is not limited to:

- Engage directly and manage client relationships, and answer any specific questions relating to trading, market microstructure and products for clients.
- Understand the broad scope of Institutional Clients, across Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies, Sovereigns, Banks, and their respective needs.
- Demonstrate the ability to cover multicultural clients, across Asia, Europe and the US.
- Strong existing client relationships and proven ability to generate a recurring revenue stream.
- Ability to expand and diversify SG’s existing client base.
- Responsible for the complete life cycle of the trade, from pre-trade to execution and post-trade. Be able to liaise with SG onboarding, legal and risk teams to ensure a proper client set-up’s.
- Develop marketing materials and highlight product differentiation; assist with all development of marketing materials.
- Understand fully a broad scope of equity derivatives products including but not limited to vanilla options, varswaps and volswaps, equity swaps, light exotics and hybrids.
- Understand deeply the Asia retail Structured Product markets, their dynamics and detailed parameter impact.
- Analyze product payoffs, back tests and associated risks.
- Source potential market needs and opportunities for customers to express their trading views, while matching SG offering and client needs.
- Organize clients meeting and leverage SG trading, research and other product partners.
- Work closely with trading desk to help recycle risk when required.
- Represent the business at senior level both externally and internally.

**PROFILE**

**ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE**
- 4-6 years of relevant experience across client coverage and product trading expertise.
- Proven track record of commercial success with clients.
- High performer in previous roles.
- Relevant qualifications in finance.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility.
- Impeccable work ethic and high level of motivation in previous experience.
- Good knowledge of APAC listed options and future rules.

**OPERATIONAL SKILLS**
- A deep understanding of the global macro environment and its impact on financial markets.
- Proven ability to provide relevant market colour and advisory.
- Possesses market knowledge with a specific focus on Asia, both for Listed and OTC products.
- Strong technical Skills for Equity, Exotic & Hybrid Derivatives products.
- Sales Talent: proactive sales calls, idea generation and idea pitching, organized coverage of clientele, new client recruiting, flawless trade execution.
- Smooth interaction with team members and other desks / divisions, especially Trading, Strategy & Engineering
- Experience and competence in dealing with front office Trading, Booking and Risk systems
- Strong team spirit and cooperative behaviour with other regions and business lines, consistently embodied by helpful and respectful behavior in interacting with our internal and external partners
- Possesses cross-selling abilities and has a commitment to personal, team and firm success
- Ability to innovate and keep up-to-date with personal training on new products, systems, processes and regulations
- Responsible, efficient and reasonable approach to all parts of our business, from execution to client coverage
