Connect Energy partners with a trading company specialized in petrochemical / oil and gas commodities to look for a MARKET ANALYST.
**Responsibilities**
- To provide numerical and statistical analysis for demand / supply fundamentals in oil and petrochemical products, cargo flows and shipping.
- To summarize geo-political and economic developments and present a comprehensive story of market trend and opportunities on regular basis.
- To general forward curves together with the traders based on quantitative and qualitative data sourced from public and private domain price agencies.
- Build models based on company's own plants' technological and cost profiles
- Assist the traders in trade ideas generation and trading strategies
- Able to decipher macro and micro socio-economic trends affecting company's trading portfolio and therefore propose strategic ideas to profit maximally from such trends.
- Assist risk management team in managing the book.
**Requirements**:
- Min. 6 years experience in similar role in commodity industry
- Analytical skills and an eye for detail
- Ability to comprehend big picture and able to identify trend
- Independent and self - motivated.
- Confident to challenge both supervisors and peers
- High proficiency in EXCEL spreadsheet, Word, Powerpoint
- Able to build analytical models and able to handle wide variety of data and information.
