The Market Operations team, as the core business unit in EMC comprising of two functional units - Operations and Projects & Market Systems, provides operational resource and support to the Singapore electricity wholesale market, the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS). Projects & Market Systems unit works closely with Market Administration team on the market rule changes, and works closely with IT Applications team/vendors on the market system changes.

The Market Analyst (Projects) is responsible for supporting the fulfilment of market operation obligations of EMC in accordance with the market rules and plays a key role to improve and synergize essential business processes from the market clearing and scheduling to the market settlement within the Market Operations team. He/she also plays a role in market evolution process to work with internal Market Administration team and the external Market Participants (MP), Market Support Services Licensee (MSSL), Power System Operator (PSO) and Energy Market Authority (EMA). The scope of responsibilities also includes performing investigation of pricing incidents, development and maintenance of in-house market analysis tools, market enhancements scoping and testing and improving the business operation processes.
