Head of Marketplace, Insights, APAC
Location: Singapore/Anywhere in APAC
Skale: 80/90
The Head of Marketplace for APAC will be responsible for driving the client penetration, revenue and profitability of Kantar Marketplace across the region, as well as supporting countries to identify and overcome the operational/activation barriers to accelerating adoption and growth.
This is an exciting and entrepreneurial opportunity to lead the development and execution of a go-to-market strategy for Kantar Marketplace in APAC. Kantar Marketplace, launched in 2019, is Kantar’s agile market research platform crafted for brands and agencies that want to test, learn and move faster.
The platform will include flexible service options ranging from self-serve to light support, to full consultancy and client success, delivered by a global network of passionate, world-class experts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Understanding needs and expectations of clients and prospects regarding KMP and our portfolio of automated, standardised solutions.
- Understanding the buying process for KMP in APAC - decision makers, influencers, evaluation and buying process.
- Understanding barriers (real and perceived) preventing APAC teams and clients from transitioning to our agile solutions - and working with them to overcome or alleviate those barriers.
- Resolving and prioritizing market opportunities for KMP - and clearly communicating the business case to partners across APAC.
- Engaging with global KMP partners to develop agile product and commercial strategies that will improve growth in APAC.
- Partnering the country leadership and local Solution leads to drive internal engagement and focus on KMP and solution portfolio.
- Identifying training gaps and needs and partnering with the countries to encourage client teams and drive sales and transition of legacy solutions to more modern agile solutions.
- Build positive relationships with the KMP business development leads across APAC to ensure we have appropriate resource, sales strategies, sales tactics and incentive plans in place.
- Supervising and driving sales performance in APAC.
- Leading conversations with our most senior clients on the ground-breaking potential of KMP and sharing benefits of an agile platform and solutions.
- Responding to new business enquiries and leading larger proposals and pitches.

- An effective and efficient sales strategy and model in place.
- Strong engagement across APAC driving sales of both KMP and the Solution portfolio.
- High participation / engagement in the KMP Academy training and a significant increase in confidence levels across the region (as measured through the offer and learning survey).

- Proven client, team and commercial leader
- Experience leading business development strategy and activation
- Experience building business development teams and capability.
- Broad experience of Kantar offers and organisation.
- Outstanding business development skills - hunting and farming, proposal development, pitching, negotiation, winning attitude
- Outstanding interpersonal skills - engaging writer and presenter
- Exceptional leadership and influencing skills - can influence and drive action across a matrix and a range of stakeholders.
- Exceptional collaborator - able to play a key role in growing collaboration across Kantar
- Flexible to undertake some business travel across APAC region
