Data Governance Manager

**Responsibilities**:
**Data Protection**
- Lead and steer the data protection committee in the region
- As expert of the data management framework and the capabilities of SG wholesale, you will act as an adviser to the project managers part of the different Business Units in APAC.
- Supervise and manage the data access and risk assessment for APAC projects
- Work closely with Risk, Legal and Compliance on delivering regulatory related projects, i.e. manage some projects from the study to the execution phase when relative to data protection or retention
- Implement data management related normative controls in the region
- Help to define the strategy of the data management and strategy for Asia as well as steer it with the CDO
- Use your experience and know how to propose improvements in SG processes, and be able to influence global peers to enact these changes (as SG strategy is global)

**Data Quality**
- Some of the bank’s challenges are to manage, control and steer our production of data, while interpreting every piece of information to continuously improve quality. You will take over the governance and steering of the regional actions to solve business problems thanks to your previous experience as leader in this field
- You will use your experience and know how to propose improvements to this governance, as well as in SG Data Quality processes in general, and be able to influence global peers to enact these changes (as SG strategy is global)
- Steer the implementation and continuous improvement of the data quality framewor
- Analyze business requirement and ensure a good understanding of the use of data and its production (in compliance with current standards and policies)
- Define priority data based on criticality levels, set quality targets and thresholds
- Define and implement control plans
- Understand the localization of these data into the processing chain and have an end-to-end vision of the processes
- Drive the monitoring of anomalies and remediation plans
- Analyze impacts on uses and root causes of anomalies
- Define remediation plans with Business Units and IT
- Animate the instances where remediation plans are prioritized and control their execution
- Design and deploy data quality monitoring processes and dashboards
- Quantify and track data quality issues and their impacts
- Be the guarantor of the deployment of the Group's data quality norms and standards
- Manage the data quality governance (Steering committees)
- Conduct the standardization process
- Be the ambassador on data quality stakes (process, good practices, tools, modeling rules, promoting data enhancement, impacts...)
- Participate in projects for the data quality part (regulatory, risk, business...)
- Support any data quality matters for different teams in the region (Asia) and collaborate with topics across the world (EMEA, North America).
- Work with senior stakeholders to develop understanding of criticality of proper management of our Data Quality

**Profile required**:
**ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, and engineering
- 10+ years of overall IT or banking experience
- Strong knowledge of data management framework and practices including data quality, data retention, and data protection in APAC
- Knowledge of various data related regulations and implications to the Bank
- 5+ years hands on data quality from business impacts to operational remediations
- Knowledge of processes, architecture, information system
- Experience in project management principles including governance steering
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capable for articulating specific requirements.
- Experience in building highly efficient data quality set up
- Excellent communication skills to interface with senior leadership and ability to communicate with the people in the different level and domain
- Financial services or FinTech experience is preferred
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
