**Role Summary**:
Assist to provide a full range of social work services to families and students including conduct case work, group work and programme and manage crisis situations.

Functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to assist in collaboration and build partnerships with stakeholders, maintain professional and ethical standards and ensure a child-safe organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct casework
- Prepare and submit financial scheme’s data and report.
- Support needs and intake assessments.
- Support case and case planning, and goal setting based on organisational guidelines and professional assessment.
- Support implementation of care and care plans, and interventions.
- Support the evaluation of casework intervention processes and outcomes for improvements.
- Complete case notes and documents according to the organisational needs and documentation standards.
- Assist in preparation of social reports.
- Assist in gathering information for the financial assessment.
- Conduct group work/programme
- Support preparation and planning of group work/programme interventions.
- Support implementation of group work/programme interventions.
- Support the evaluation of group work intervention/programme processes and outcomes.
- Manage crisis situations
- Support response to crisis situations based on organisational standard operating procedures.
- Ensure Child Safe Organisation
- Support screening of children of suspected abuse using Child Abuse Reporting Guide and Sector-Specific Screening Guide.
- Build stakeholder engagement and partnerships
- Support in building rapport and professional relationships with clients, parents, caregivers and other stakeholders.
- Assist to conduct psychoeducational workshops to staff, students and parents.
- Outreach to community resources.

- Adhere to the professional standards in the practice of social work.
- Identify areas of self-improvement and continual learning of best practices.

**Qualifications and Other Requirements**:

- Minimum Diploma in Social Work or is currently enrolling to Bachelor’s degree or Graduate Diploma in Social Work.
- Proficient in Microsoft office and spreadsheets.
- Case work and group work planning, intervention, evaluation.
- Emergency response and crisis management.
- Stakeholder management.
- Ethics and values in accordance to requirement of discipline.
- Report writing and documentation.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Service orientation.
- Problem solving.
- Team work.
- Attention to details.
- Time management and organisation skills.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written), and a second language and/ or to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Prior working experience in a special education setting will be an added advantage.
