**Role Summary**:
Through a range of evidence based techniques and best practices, assist to provide psychological services including psychological assessments and interventions.

Working with teachers, parents and caregivers, provide advice and training in the management of the students’ learning, emotional and behavioural issues.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct psychological assessments
- Assist in conducting psychological screening, assessments and evaluation for routine cases under guidance.
- Assist in preparing assessment reports for routine cases including scoring and interpretation of results.
- Deliver interventions
- Support preparation and planning of group work/programme interventions.
- Support implementation of group work/programme interventions.
- Support the evaluation of group work intervention/programme processes and outcomes.
- Consultation
- Assist in supporting teachers to understand the disability needs of the child in relation to learning, behaviour and social emotional needs.
- Assist teachers in implementing support on learning and behaviour.
- Crisis Management
- Assist the psychologist to manage crisis escalation.
- Assist the psychologist in defusing/debriefing of staff and student after an event.
- Assist to provide advice and counselling to affect staff and student under supervision.
- Collaboration and Training
- Foster positive relationships with teachers, parents and caregivers in support of student’s learning and development.
- Support the implementation of professional standards in psychology.
- Assist to conduct psychoeducational workshops to staff, students and parents.
- Professionalism
- Adhere to the professional standards in the practice of psychology.
- Identify areas of self-improvement and continual learning of best practices.

**Qualifications and Other Requirements**:

- Bachelor in Psychology from an accredited university.
- Psychological assessment, intervention, evaluation.
- Emergency response and crisis management.
- Stakeholder consultation, training and management.
- Ethics and values in accordance to requirement of discipline.
- Report writing and documentation.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time management and organization skills.
- Service orientation.
- Attention to details.
- Time management and organisation skills.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written), and a second language and/ or dialects to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Prior working experience in a special education setting will be an added advantage.
